Personal Assistant – with childcare skills required in NW5
There are two main strands to this job:
1 Care of 60 year old dad with early onset of Parkinson’s Disease. To include: Personal care – washing and dressing, accompanying on walks, helping to do local shopping, supporting on household admin and finances, lias-ing with healthcare professionals/social workers, collecting prescriptions.
2. To support dad with parenting of six year old boy. To include: pick ups from local school, taking son to local park/occasional after school activities, cooking evening meal for dad and son, supervising on bath-time, after school reading.
Essential skills and qualities: Must be a driver with clean UK driving licence (employer will insure car for use if needed) be able to cook, speak excellent English, keep a tidy house, have strong childcare skills as well as be able to work with adults, be a good planner, kind, fun – loving, a family person.
Hours: 5 hours a day at an hourly rate 12 pounds upwards – depending on experience.
Mon.- Fri. (Holiday/Tax/Ni included) Please note, it is essential 2.5 hours of the 5 are from 3.30-6pm to assist dad with parenting after school.
The outstanding 2.5 hours work time can be negotiated around these hours.
