What’s the destination?

11 September, 2020

• HAVE you noticed recently there are a number of “Boris buses” that proudly proclaim that they are “not in service” as they swing through the streets of Hampstead village, coming to a complete halt opposite the post office because they are too wide to pass other buses in what has always been a narrow stretch of Heath Street.

Where have they come from and where are they going to? Why do they not carry passengers and why don’t they use East Heath Road?

So maybe they do have a purpose, a destination. But why, oh why, does it have to involve Hampstead village?
