The loss of Waitrose will be no loss to me

05 July, 2018

Waitrose in Camden High Street

• I FOR one will not mourn the demise of the Waitrose store in Camden High Street, (Waitrose to close Camden High Street store, June 28).

It only opened four years ago and from the start had a lethargic and dreary feel about it. With its poor floor design and uninspiring vegetable and bakery sections, it never encouraged me to purchase much, though it was convenient for buying lottery tickets!

Shame we will have to wait six months for Aldi with its higher turnover, cheerful staff and fresher, cheaper, produce.
