The café wall image was demeaning and offensive
09 November, 2017
• REGARDING your report on the London Borough of Camden’s contractors partially removing two pieces of graffiti depicting the Queen as a prostitute/anarchist, I am disgusted that the café owner was allowed to display these so called pieces of “art” in the public realm (It’s Too Late to Save the Queen!, November 2).
Regardless of the subject being the Queen I find it offensive that the café owner finds these sexist pieces of graffiti not demeaning to women.
As a husband and father to two daughters I congratulate the council taking the stand against this and it was rightfully removed. I hope the clientele vote with their feet and do not continue to use this café.
