Thanks for the coverage following the death of my friend, folk legend, Tom Paley

Tom Paley and Norman Elvin
• I AM a friend of Norman Elvin and Tom Paley, and I used to join them regularly for the “Fish Friday lunches” at Angel pub when I came to London (Striking a chord – Musical tribute to folk legend Paley, October 26).
Although I’m a songwriter and musician, I just came for the visits and the stories.
As you’ve found out, Norman is a character, and Tom was a sweet humorist who could turn any statement into a pun or joke. I so admired his fierce independence until the last. His music was his life and his gift to all of us.
Thank you for your part in covering the event and making sure that Camden found out a little about the musical history treasure who resided there.
