Thank you to all who helped after my fall
13 September, 2018
• RETURNING from a week’s holiday last Saturday, with a suitcase and bags, I fell backwards on the escalator at Kentish Town station, sustaining nasty injuries.
I would like to thank all those who rallied round to help: the lady behind me who got me up the escalator and phoned my husband, the off-duty policeman who bound up my injured leg and the station staff who called an ambulance and supported me until it arrived.
The ambulance staff were fantastic, and also the Royal Free staff in A & E and Floor 11 West (where I spent three nights). My thanks to all for their excellent care and community spirit. They were all a tribute to the NHS and public services.
