Thank you for response to the theft of our garden tools

06 June, 2019

• MY faith in humanity is somewhat restored.

After the publication of your report concerning a break-in in March, where our tools (Regent’s Park Gardening Association) were stolen, and your correspondent Tom Foot writing sympathetically of our plight, several individuals came forward and offered basic tools – spades and forks primarily.

Finally Camden councillor Heather Johnson got in touch with the news that LabTech indicated that they would look sympathetically at any application for tools. I am happy to report that we received confirmation that our application was successful and that there should be enough to replace those lost.

I should like to thank all those individuals who were involved in the process, the press, politicians, and others. This gives us hope to carry on with integrating the different nationalities in the ward – we currently have 10 different nationalities with plots on the allotment and we are all volunteers.

Chair, Regent’s Park Gardening Association
