Stormzy mobbed at surprise community centre gig

02 March, 2017 — By Dan Carrier

GRIME star Stormzy was mobbed on Friday when he turned up at the Castlehaven Community Centre to do an impromptu gig.

The singer was in Camden Town to promote his new album, Gang Signs And Prayer. Littlehaven Nursery teacher Kim Cobham grabbed a selfie with the star – though admitted afterwards she wasn’t immediately sure who he was, saying she hoped to impress her children with the picture.

Castlehaven director Eleanor Botwright said: “Stormzy selected Castlehaven’s open space to promote his new album because he wanted a community park available to fans living locally who would otherwise not be able to get to see the Big For Your Boots star play for free.”
