HANDMADE in Detroit and featuring sapphire crystal dials and an alligator leather strap, this eye-catching timepiece was discovered lying on a wall in Kenwood on Sunday.

Teresa Lynagh, who lives in Camden Town, found the “Shinola” watch during a weekend walk with friends on the north-west side of the park and is now hoping to reunite it with its owners. The Shinola company is a “luxury lifestyle brand” specialising in hand-made watches and other leather goods.

“It could be worth something to someone,” said Ms Lynagh. “Watches often have a sentimental value.”
