Save the Jester Festival plea

Volunteers needed to help West Hampstead event reach 45th year

A SUMMER festival in West Hampstead is under threat unless volunteers come forward to keep it running.

The 45th Jester Festival, in Fortune Green, needs an organisational boost after committee chairwoman Jodie Graham stepped down after many years.

Ward councillor Flick Rea – who has helped organise the festival since it began – said: “It is threatened in terms of that, through exhaustion, it could collapse. “We need new blood. Volunteers could help organise raffle prizes and oversee the programme for the weekend festival on July 1 and 2.”
