Players back in training as Arsenal’s Alexandre Lacazette makes headlines for the wrong reasons

PREMIER League clubs returned to training this week as top-flight football in England inches closer to a return.
All 20 clubs agreed to phase one protocols, which saw small groups of up to five players take part in short sessions.
Discussions with clubs over phase two training, which will include contact between players, are planned for next week.
But Arsenal’s hopes of easing back into a new routine were disrupted by headlines surrounding Alexandre Lacazette.
A Daily Star article showed the striker with a balloon in his mouth. It had echoes of an incident in 2018 when Lacazette and several Gunners teammates were “reminded of their responsibilities” after they were pictured inhaling nitrous oxide at a nightclub.
A club statement issued this week read: “This is a private matter which we are taking seriously.”
