EVERYONE seems to be at it! At art, that is. Hard to believe but an army of budding artists, more than 300 of them, will descend on the green by Whitestone Pond, Hampstead, on June 16, hoping to win a prize organised by the Hampstead School of Art, for the best Heath landscape.

Top prize is worth £1,000 – four runners-up get free courses at what has become one of the best art schools in the capital.

All the paintings will be on display on June 23 as part of the Hampstead Summer Festival.

The judges are Roger Beckett, who runs a well-known art event Pintar Rapido; BBC art presenter Estelle Lovett; and the art school’s principal Isabel Langtry.
