Mister Maker comes to Hackney Empire

07 July, 2017

CHILDREN’S television favourite Mister Maker paid a special visit to Hackney Empire last week, meeting children to help them get crafty, and leading them in a singalong. Children visited from Little Yum Yums Nursery in Hackney as well as from local families. The event took place in Hackney Empire’s newly opened café, The Empire Bar, prior to Mister Maker appearing live on stage at Hackney Empire on 22 July with his colourful friends, the Shapes.

Mister Maker said about coming to Hackney Empire: “We had such an amazing time at the Empire last year with our show and we are so excited to be coming back with new makes, new songs and new dances. It was made even more exciting as we got to meet some Hackney based mini-makers before the show in July, who I hope feel inspired to go off and make their own arts and crafts.”

With a fabulous supporting cast and art at its heart, Hackney Empire are thrilled to have Mister Maker’s live show back again on 22 July and to be encouraging mini-makers and grown-ups to sing, dance and make some noise.

There’s a big make to take part in, lots of audience participation, and you’ll be able to share the fun with Circle, Square, Rectangle and Triangle too.
