A MINICAB office in West Hampstead is to be turned into a florists after planners were told smartphone bookings had removed the need for a control centre. Owners of the unit in Fairhazel Gardens asked the Town Hall to approve a “change of use” application because “with the advent of Uber and smartphone technology, the minicab business generally no longer requires a physical base”.
