Madame Rubinstein at the Park Theatre was deliciously enjoyable and entertaining

• I MUST take issue with your reviewer of Madame Rubinstein at the Park Theatre (Makeup baggage, Review, May 11).
Alerted by the New Journal to this production, we snapped up the last two tickets for the Saturday performance and thought it was a terrific show.
In our view it was a really witty text of amusingly imagined incidents, devised around real people and brilliantly delivered at a great pace by the cast of three.
Yes we had to look up some of the Yiddish and agree there was too much furniture moving; but this was another great production from this high-achieving theatre.
Being able to buy the play text integrated into the programme made for a happy revisiting of the jokes too. Slight maybe but deliciously enjoyable and – in a word – entertaining.
