Hotel planned for former Mango Room restaurant

29 June, 2017 — By Geoffrey Sawyer

A HOTEL is planned for the site of a former hit restaurant. The Town Hall is reviewing plans for the overhaul at the old Mango Room, near Camden Town tube station in Kentish Town Road. If approved, a new 25-room hotel will be created with the addition of an extra storey.

The Mango Room won rave reviews over nearly 20 years of serving Caribbean food with Wyclef Jean, Spike Lee and Tom Jones among the famous faces who paid a visit. It closed in February.
