How Koko will look

MUSICIANS, performers and concert-goers will not have far to travel to rest their weary limbs after gigs at Camden Town’s legendary Koko music venue after its owners, Vevil International, won permission to convert offices and a former pub behind it into a hotel, bar, restaurant and recording studio complex.

The scheme will see offices behind the venue demolished with its facade kept in place and a new five-storey building created to provide a 32-bedroom hotel, while the former Hope and Anchor pub, in Crowndale Road, will also be used for guest rooms. Councillors voted unanimously to pass the designs, on the condition it includes a noise management plan.
