Eversholt Street’s closure to buses is a disgrace

31 October, 2019

• THE ongoing closure of Eversholt Street to buses is a disgrace. The works they are carrying out beside Euston station do not warrant the closure and could easily accommodate a one-lane bus service.

It seems that HS2 will also be digging up the same damn road once Thames Water have finished with it, which indicates another lengthy period of closure.

The residents of Somers Town have one bus route only to Camden and that is Eversholt Street. I was under the impression that buses are a vital public service, although clearly not in the minds of the morons who run these “utilities”.

Their willingness to simply stop all buses when and as they please indicates once again how little they value the daily lives of whatever local population they stomp over.
