ARSENAL boss Joe Montemurro says the other teams in the last eight of the Women’s Champions League “will dread” facing his side in the knockout stages.
The Gunners demolished Slavia Prague over two legs in the last 16, securing a resounding 13-2 aggregate victory.
The quarter-final and semi-final draw will be made in Nyon tomorrow (Friday) at 12.30pm, and Montemurro insists that his team are in it to win it.
“It’s now a lottery. We know one of the big teams is going to come up soon and we have to be prepared,” he said.
“We have to beat whoever is there.
“As much as we sort of dread meeting the Lyons and so on, I’m pretty sure they’ll dread meeting us too. We’re not just here to fill up numbers. We’re here to go all the way.”
Meanwhile, in the Continental League Cup, Arsenal remain top of Group B despite being beaten on penalties at Brighton on Sunday after a goalless draw in 90 minutes.
