Emery praises Lacazette’s supersub appearance
It's a team game, says new Gunners boss

UNAI Emery reiterated his mantra that football is a team game after securing his first Premier League points on Saturday. Arsenal came from behind to beat West Ham 3-1 at the Emirates Stadium thanks to goals from Nacho Monreal and Danny Welbeck, which were sandwiched either side of an own-goal by Hammers defender Issa Diop.
After the game Emery said that he was “happy” to get his first three points on the board. He added that he was pleased with how substitutes Welbeck, Lucas Torreira and Alexandre Lacazette – whose cross led to the own-goal – impacted the game.
“We need every player,” said the Gunners gaffer. “The first 11 is very important but the players that come into the match are very important also. They can play five minutes, 10 minutes, 30 minutes or 45 minutes. We need them. “Today, when we needed it, our substitutes made a difference. Laca, Lucas and Welbeck are three very important players. They went onto the pitch and helped the team. That’s why I am very happy.”
