Elderly woman and dog attacked by men on Hampstead Heath

Police are looking for the robbers

A WOMAN and her dog were attacked by robbers on Hampstead Heath this week, prompting increased police patrols of the area.

The victim, who is in her 60s, had been training her dog near a wooded area with city views in the park at around 1.30pm on when two men approached her.

One of the men pushed her to the ground and took items from her while the second man attacked her dog.

The dog retaliated and bit the thief on the hand, leg and arm.

The victim is said to have suffered pain in her limbs from being pushed but did not need hospital treatment at the time.

Police are trying to find the men responsible, who are described as “White males, wearing baseball caps aged between 19-27 years of age”.

Officers from both the Hampstead Heath Constabulary and Hampstead Town ward are conducting targeted patrols.
