'This was a horrific attack on a woman who was heading home after a night out with her friends'

21 April, 2018 — By Geoffrey Sawyer

DETECTIVES investigating a “horrific” rape in Camden Town have released an e-fit of a man they wish to speak to in connection with the attack.

The victim, a 21-year-old woman, was grabbed by the shoulder, assaulted and kicked to the ground by a man in Camden Mews. She had been walking home from Camden High Street where she had been to a gig at the Electric Ballroom and then on to a pub in the early hours of November 26 last year.

The suspect ran off after raping her on the ground. He is described as a white man, aged between 25-35, with dark hair and a moustache. He possibly spoke with a Manchester aspect.

Detective Constable Alastair Semple said:  “This was a horrific attack on a woman who was heading home after a night out with her friends. I would urge anyone with information to contact police and help us track down the person responsible.”

Anyone with any information is asked to call police on 101. Alternatively contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
