BROADCASTER Dermot Murnaghan was left bleeding in the street after being hurt in a ‘hit and run’ while out on his bike in Kentish Town on Thursday morning.

He tweeted pictures of his swollen face today as an explanation for his absence from his show.

He said: “More mentally injured than physically. Hit and runs are clearly an everyday occurrence. Luckily @metpoliceuk are after them. Nothing broken. Apart from my helmet.”
