Coronavirus: Weekly update from council leader Georgia Gould

PUBLIC INFORMATION PAGES FROM CAMDEN COUNCIL

PUBLIC INFORMATION PAGES FROM CAMDEN COUNCIL

With coronavirus cases rising in parts of the country, including a slight increase in Camden, it’s really important that we continue to protect ourselves and loved ones by washing our hands, socially distancing and wearing a face covering. We cannot afford to become complacent.

Coronavirus usually spreads by droplets from coughs, sneezes and speaking. You can help prevent it spreading by covering your mouth and nose with a face covering – if it doesn’t cover both it’s not going to work. That’s why it’s important to wear a face covering correctly when you are indoors and not able to safely socially distance.

Your face covering can be a simple scarf tied on securely or anything that covers both your nose and mouth, and you need to keep it on the whole time you’re in an indoor public space and unable to social distance.

As a community we have a responsibility to help keep ourselves and each other safe and I know the majority of people are doing all they can to look out for each other. So thank you Camden for all that you’re doing.

Councillor Georgia Gould, Leader of Camden Council
