Cyclist killed in collision with Ford Transit van in Camden Road

A CYCLIST has died after a collision with a van in Camden Road this morning.
The man, believed to be aged in his thirties, was cycling near Camden Road and Hilldrop Crescent when the collision took place.
A woman, who was driving a Ford Transit van, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous, but later “de-arrested” police said.
It is believed the man was cycling eastbound along Camden Road on his way to work.
Medics rushed to the scene to treat his “critical injuries”, but he was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after 6am.
Scotland Yard said in a statement: “A male cyclist, believed to be aged in his 30s, was found to be suffering from injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene a short while later. Next of kin have been informed and a post-mortem will be scheduled in due course.
“The female driver of the Ford Transit stopped at the scene and was initially arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. She was subsequently de-arrested at the scene and was later interviewed under caution at a north London police station.”
