THE generous employment of private consultants costing huge sums of public goes merrily on, I hear.
The other week a Somers Town councillor Paul Tomlinson discovered through a Freedom of Information request that more than £200,000 was paid to consultants for ideas to prettify a street.
This week I gather consultants have also been employed by the council for ideas about how to turn Queen’s Crescent market area into a car free zone – a public consultation is now under way.
Is this happening, I wonder?
